The health of a community depends on the ability of health-care professionals to gather pertinent data, analyze it and both receive and share information effectively. Enter the realm of informatics. The Public Health Informatics Institute (PHII) website shares strategies and projects to help others think through the complexities of goal setting, threat assessment and task flows needed when a public health threat (either urgent or ongoing) arises that requires surveillance and a rapid response.
