Mayor launches London transport strategy

The Mayor of London published the final version of his 20-year transport strategy on May 10, against an ominous background of massive cuts in public spending promised by the new coalition government. Chapter 5 dealing with rail nonetheless contains many proposals for expansion alongside the upgrade projects at London Underground envisaged under the 30-year PPP launched in 2003, and also on the national network under the HLOS for CP4.
