Balfour Beatty buys Omnicom

Balfour Beatty plc announced on September 30 that it had acquired Omnicom Engineering Ltd, a sup-plier of onboard infrastructure surveying hardware and software whose customers include Network Rail. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. 'Omnicom Engineering is a true innovator', said Mark Bullock, Managing Director of Balfour Beatty's UK Rail business. 'We will leverage this expertise alongside the highspeed laser measurement technology that already exists within Balfour Beatty, to provide unrivalled technical solutions to clients in the growing high-speed and unattended data collection market.'
