Progress Rail buys Balfour Beatty's trackwork sector

Progress Rail has purchased the British-based trackwork manufacturing business of Balfour Beatty. The acquisition, which includes five sites in Britain, will allow Progress Rail to globalise its existing engineering and track services business unit. Once the deal is completed this month the business and relevant staff will become part of Progress Rail Services UK.
