Disputes end as Sudbury health centre goes ahead

After 35 years of disputes, a new health centre will be built in Sudbury. Babergh District Council granted planning consent for the £10m facility last week. The decision comes after more than three decades of failed attempts to create a facility because of arguments between community groups and West Suffolk Primary Care Trust over the design. NHS Suffolk decided to apply for planning consent before appointing a developer.
