The early events in the Solar System's history, which includes the formation of the first solids and the buildup of planetary precursors, were critical to its evolution. Gregory Brennecka and Meenakshi Wadhwa (pp. 9299-9303) report that the absolute ages of many meteorites may differ from previously accepted figures, necessitating corrections to the Solar System's early timeline. The absolute age of a meteorite is calculated using a dating method based on the decay of two radioactive isotopes of uranium, uranium-238 (238U) and uranium-235 (B5U).
