Dundee University is looking to fill five fully funded PhD civil engineering studentships, co-funded by industry. The university is one of the world's top 200 universities and the civil engineering PhD fellowships cover the following areas.1. Innovative use of geothermal piles as heat storage to enhance embankment performance. The project is co-funded by a national transport agency to explore the innovative use of geothermal piles to simultaneously migrate two major engineering problems encountered in transport infrastructure embankments during wet winter periods.
