THE ABOVE quote by J. F. Kennedy came to mind during Rail Forum Midlands'(RFM's) first member event of 2020. One of RFM's objectives is to support small and medium enterprises to grow, so identifying the barriers they face on this journey is important. RFM's first event of 2020 was focused on exactly this when Managing Directors from over two dozen rail SMEs gathered to highlight the barriers they face trying to grow their businesses and crucially identify potential solutions and how RFM can help. The event was based around four key themes: innovation, diversification, market expansion and internal capability, with each theme facilitated by an industry leader.
