In today's highly regulated political environment, nutrition science is under increasing pressure to broaden its scope.rnInternational nutritional watchdogs have recently expanded the remit of nutritionists, resulting in a more robust definition of nutritional values across the board. Now, nutrition science is expected to help address a much wider set of challenges; most notably public health and the environment.rnMany of the challenges facing nutritionists today are based on the fact that health, disease and the relationship between the two are complex individual issues. When they are put into context as a whole, they become even more complicated.
