1. It was determined that MgANS, berberine, Sytox Orange, and oxonol were the most promising of the fluorescent stains, and the subcommittee should investigate the ability of these dyes to estimate cell viability. 2. Propidium iodide and FUN1 were deemed unsuitable for this collaborative study because of inaccurate estimation of cell viability.
