Former Barclays blockchain guru launches fund

Simon Taylor, former blockchain guru at barclays, is launching a venture capital fund to invest in fintech and related blockchain projects. The fund is being launched by Taylor's new venture, called 11 :FS, after he left Barclays last month. 11:FS has been set up by Taylor and three partners to offer distributed ledger advice, product development and investment opportunities. The fund has US$5m seed capital from Singapore venture capital fund Life.SREDA and aims to raise US$100m by mid-2017.
