摘要

The SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE BOARD OF INDIA has allowed listed companies in the country to sell shares through qualified institutional placements to increase free-floats to the 25% minimum. Currently, promoters or controlling shareholders attain minimum free-floats from the shares made available through institutional placement programmes and offers for sale. Under both, shares are sold on the local stock exchanges when the markets are live.
