Construction Of 'analects Of Confucius' Knowledge Base Including Pragmatics Information

摘要

Analects of Confucius, known as the representative work of Confucianism, are a record of the discussions of philosopher Confucius, his students and Chinese thinkers, as well as the disciplines they held on public and private matters, among which the words of Confucius occupy more than 3/4. Analects of Confucius comprise of 20 chapters with 500 verses, which are grouped by individual themes. However, the title of each chapter is expressed by the first two words of that chapter, without carrying the central theme of chapter. Analects of Confucius have comprehensive meanings, and there are various interpretations for the same verse, which thus causes difficult issues to build question-answering system and information retrieval system concerning Analects of Confucius.rnConsidering the characteristics that Analects of Confucius are not arranged by themes, in order to develop an Analects of Confucius learning system, we think it is necessary to build an knowledge base framework for Analects of Confucius.
