US-headquartered components manufacturer Girard Equipment has released a version of its hydraulic vapour recovery adaptor for tank trailers that utilises air for vehicles without hydraulics. The new version is designed to be compatible with Girard's existing product line; it uses the same housing and seal sets, and it is designed so that the air pack can be removed and serviced, if necessary, without having to disturb the piping. Girard says that demand exists for the non-hydraulic version particularly for trailers carrying acid, which can lack hydraulic systems.
