Hhe Golf Resort Konopiste, which is located some 40 kilometres south of Prague, is considered to be one of the most beautiful golf resorts within the Czech Republic. The entire resort was built up with the co-operation with the Professional Golfers Association of Europe. Dominating the course is a beautiful, renovated chateau that houses a clubroom, reception and a pro shop, as well as a restaurant. Inaugurated just eight years ago, its wider location is that of the Manorial Estate of Tvorsovice, whose history dates back to the 10th century. The last owner, the Barton family, used it as a summer residence.
