Closing the gap

Engineers Without Borders Australia (EWB) and Engineers Australia (EA) are launching two new reconciliation initiatives to create long term, systemic change within the engineering industry. The initiatives have resulted from a recognition that there is an increasing number of engineering organisations that are working on projects that have an impact on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. However, there is no national platform to share knowledge or determine what is leading practice in working collaboratively with Aboriginal communities. To fill this gap, EWB and EA have launched an open community of practice to collect and share resources, learning and experience.
