The present invention addresses the problem of providing a gap closing method capable of appropriately suppressing, in a structure having a gap, an adverse effect caused by the edge of the gap. The present invention pertains to a gap closing method for closing a gap in a structure having the gap by inserting a threadlike adhesive body along the gap, the method involving inserting a threadlike adhesive body into the gap so as to bring the threadlike adhesive body into contact with at least a part of the inner surface of the gap and the edge of the gap.
