Asphalt, Concrete Post Modest Gains

Prices for concrete,asphalt and aggregates all started November with increases, according to ENR's 20-city average prices. Prices for ready-mix concrete inched up an average of 0.2% this month and are 0.9% to 1.3% above a year ago. Prices for PG-58 liquid asphalt paving rose 0.4% this month and are 10.8% above a year ago. However, the modest uptick compares to the 1.3% decline in November of last year, resulting in a year-to-year increase for PG-58 liquid asphalt of 10.8%, compared to 9.0% the previous month. The largest monthly hike was 1.0%, for concrete-course crushed stone.
