Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of comfortable nursing mode on negative emotion and quality of life in uremia patients with hemodialysis. Methods A total of 78 uremia patients with treatment of hemodialysis were randomly divided into the observation group(n＝39) and the control group(n＝39). Both two groups were given conventional treatment and the observation group was applied with comfortable nursing mode additionally. The negative emotion of patients was evaluated by selfrating depression scale (SDS) and selfrating anxiety scale (SAS) one month after intervention. The shotform health status survey (SF36) was performed to evaluate the quality of life of patients. Results The averaged score of SDS and SAS in observation group were lower than those of controls at one month after intervention (P＜0.05), and the proportion of patients with moderate or severe level in SDS and SAS assessment were lower in the observation group than those in the control group (P＜0.05). The observation group achieved higher score in assessment of vitality, physical functioning, bodily pain, general health perceptions, physical role functioning, emotional role functioning, social role functioning and mental health compared with the control group (P＜0.01). Conclusion Application of comfortable nursing mode can improve the negative emotion and quality of life in uremia patients with hemodialysis.
