A Chocolate Obsession Grows in Brooklyn

New York has always been a mecca forsmart, creative and artistin people: Broadway, SoHo, Wall Street - they all beckoned to talented vanguards. But over the last several decades, rents (which have always been high) have become prohibitive, and the artistic population has moved to the outskirts of Manhattan and into Queens, the Bronx, and, notably, Brooklyn. Along with artists, musicians, actors, and entrepreneurs came members of the artisan food movement. Pickles, beer, cheeses, coffee, wines, and yes, chocolate: all have champions in Brooklyn's food artisans.
