The big news story for the development of the containership fleet in February has been the continued low level of inactive vessels. According to Lloyd's List Intelligence data, just 1.2% of the total containership fleet had been taken out of action at the end of February. The inactive fleet has been at a lower-than-usual level for the last few months, with brokers and analysts suggesting there are a couple of reasons for the development.
