Much though I had no time for Mrs Thatcher, I would have had to agree if she had said that the sun generally rises in the east. But we should not attribute to her something that she never, ever, said. Bob Hind (Buses September) states that 'many people' attribute to Mrs Thatcher the quote that 'anybody seen in a bus over the age of 30 [or 26 or 29] has been a failure in life'. They were wrong.
