Making sustainability simple Simplicity is key, but let's also throw into the discussion a couple of other thoughts - how about intelligent buildings that take the human factor out of the "control" side of things, that would be super simple if there were no controls at all. Sure, comfort should be maintained but perhaps we should manage our own expectations of the workplace. The second point to address is whether we actually act in a sustainable way while in the office. There is plenty of evidence to suggest that people behave less sustainably at the office than they do at home for a range of different reasons. If taking the "control" out of the workplace meant bringing people back to how they normally behave at home would that be a good thing ?
