China s airport building programme has continued with the opening of Kunming's new $3.6 billion pteway to the world. Kunming Changshui International Airport will become China's fourth busiest gateway handling in excess of 18 million passengers per annum. Its facilities include a 5 50,000sqm terminal and two 4,000 metre long runways, which effectively equip the airport to handle 38 million passengers and 300,000 flights annually.
