From the aesthetic point of view,translation of poetry is to reproduce the beauty both in form and content of the original text in the target text.This paper presents an analysis of how the aesthetic features of form and content of the original work are transplanted and to which degree they get retained in the target text,with special reference to two Chinese versions of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's A Psalm of Life.
