中国大学英语学习者的名词化能力研究——以学习者派生构词能力为例

         

摘要

为了了解非英语专业大学生的名词化能力,利用名词化练习试卷,对188名非英语专业学生进行了研究,获得如下结果:(1)非英语专业大学生的学习时长与名词化能力的相关度不大;(2)在规约性名词化的动词范围内,高频使用动词与名词化能力成正相关;而在非规约性名词化的动词范围内,动词使用频率与名词化能力相关度不大;(3)当学习者的动词名词化出现偏误时,误用率最高的两个名词化词缀为-ion和-ment。结果表明,学习者不但需要掌握名词化的一般规则,而且必须对无规则的动词名词化个例作一对一的深加工。%This paper, intended to probe into the non-English majors' ability in nominalization, is based on the data collected from the 188 subjects who took up the test paper and got the following results. It is found that, among university learners, the learning period of the non-English majors is not closely correlated to the ability in nominalization. It is also noticed that when it comes to the conventional nominalization of verbs, verbs of high frequency means high ability in nominalization. But it is not the case with the non-conventional nominalization of verbs. The research also reveals that when there arises any deviation, the learners tend to use suffixes -ion and -merit. The results of the research indicate that learners are required not only to master the general rules of nominalization, but also to deep process individually the nominalization of those irregular verbs.
