新中国中小学英语课程变革及其动因探究

     

摘要

English courses in primary and secondary schools in P . R. China went through a period of tortuous development from 1949 to 1977. During this period, these courses were upheld at one time, but they were abolished at another. In 1978, after the implementation of China’ s reform and opening-up policies, English courses received due attention, and began to play an important role in the primary and secondary curriculum. Subsequently, with the process of English curriculum reform, significant changes occurred in curriculum setting, teaching content, curriculum structure, and curriculum difficulty. The extrinsic dynamic cause of these changes is that English courses should meet the needs of economic, political, technological, and cultural development, and the intrinsic dynamic cause is that English courses should meet the needs of teachers and students’ instruction practice.%我国中小学英语课程在1949到1977年期间经历了一个曲折的发展历程。1978年实施改革开放政策以后,英语课程得到应有的重视,在中小学课程中处于重要地位。随之,课程变革不断推进,英语课程设置、教学内容、课程结构和难度都发生了重大变化。这些变革的外在动因是英语课程要满足经济、政治、科技和文化发展的需要,而内在动因是英语课程要满足师生教学实践的需要。
