Antifungal Characteristics of Some Metal Plating

The antifungal effect of metal plating should be clearly understood, because it would bring muchrnuseful information for such applications such as housing, food processing, etc. We selectedrnAspergilius flavus as a fungus and investigated what metal powders exhibited an antifungal effectrnagainst growth. We found that copper, manganese, silver and cobalt powders had significantrnantifungal properties. In this study, we applied the similar tests plating metals and compared thernresults. We also considered the mechanism behind the antifungal behavior.
