An overview is given of existing steady state and transient thermal conductivity measurementrntechniques. Advantages of an innovative non-intrusive technology using a modified hot wirerndesign are demonstrated with focus on the measurements of liquid samples. A calibrationrnalgorithm, allowing direct conductivity measurements is described. Three applications dealingrnwith pigment and solvent content of liquid paints, separation of water and oil mixtures andrnconcentration quantifying of ethanol in water are shown and discussed. The promising testrnresults indicate wide applicability of the new technology described.
