The aesthetic integration of wind parks in the environment Application in a Greek insular wind park

摘要

The last decade a research has been implemented in different insular areas of Greece about the local acceptance of wind parks (Kaldellis, 2004). This research showed that the 70% of the inhabitants accept the existed wind parks while the 20% of them have a negative opinion, mainly because of the aesthetic impacts and the noise. Other worldwide researches have shown similar results (Various, 1995; Gipe, 1995; Hohmeyer et al, 2005).
