Analytical approach to a steady-state predator-prey system of Lotka-Volterra model

A mathematical modeling of Lotka-Volterra predator-prey system is discussed. The model is based on non-stationary differential equations inclosing non-linear terms. In this paper, we obtained approximate analytical solutions for the proposed system by employing the Homotopy perturbation method (HPM) for all possible values of parameters appearing in it. This method produced a convergence series which is valid for the whole solution domain. These analytical results were found to be in good agreement with boundary conditions and with numerical simulations obtained using MATLAB software.
