摘要

Explain the essential points in 100 words or less. Making use of a specifically designed SW tool, authors evaluated the energetic performances of both convetional and alternative buses on a Tank-to-Wheel basis. Results were extended to a Well-To-Wheel to take into account the use of different energy vectors. Sensitiveness of results was evaluated describing energy consumption dependence on bus payload, road slope and mean service speed for four bus categories. Results clearly show that, both for TTW and WTW specific energy consumption, and for specific CO_2 emissions, BEV buses are normally the optimal solution, with some limited exception regarding some Mini buses operative conditions.
