摘要

Compass satellites system is the new-generation satellite navigation system of China, which bears the functions of fast positioning, dual-way communication and precise timing. The Compass system can be utilized as a disasters emergent management under urgent and timely demands of national disaster information gathering and lash-up command system. And the Compass system can serve as a space-based observation station for long-term sensing. Application requirements and system function and structure of Compass system are introduced. Suggestions of national disaster emergent management based on Compass system are made. Space-based satellite systems as the crucial part of disaster management and monitoring system are introduced, including the remote sensing equipment, infrared sensors, navigation instruments, and communication payload onboard the satellite. Together with ground mobile and fixed station and terminals, the Compass system and other satellite systems are destined to play more and more important role in future disaster information collection and long-term surveillance.
