In excellent engineer training program of Tongji University, core course Electro-Mechanical Drive and Control is established on the basis of undergraduate course mechanical design and automation, characteristic reform of instructional modes have been proposed, including systematic content explanation way, diversified practice teaching mode, online resource sharing, interactive teaching approaches, simultaneously professional and innovation ability training, up-to-date scientific research and teaching, domestic and foreign cooperation and communication, multi-evaluation system, etc. Quality education and business culture, knowledge impartment and ability training, and education and scientific research are combined as a whole. Enabling theoretical study and practical ability to improve at the same time, solving the contradictory of reduced professional courses and enriched content, the requirements of wider professional caliber, smaller class teaching of excellent mechanical engineering can be satisfied and good results can be achieved.
