Functionally graded materials (FGMs) are innovative materials showing continuous gradedmorphology and macroscopic properties along specific direction that makes them suitable candidates forbiomedical applications. Among several approaches, additive manufacturing (AM) is a good match for themanufactured products with change in their properties. Moreover, in recent years, β-type Zr alloys haveattracted much attention for biomedical applications owing to their excellent biocompatibility, low magneticsusceptibility and relatively lower elastic modulus.
