摘要

Escape of fish from sea cages is a significant problem for the sustainability of the aquaculture industry. Escapes have been reported for almost all the marine species that reared in European countries. Several biotic and abiotic factors have been associated with this specific behavior. In this study, we focus on the relation of the rearing process factors (stocking density, food supply, and biofouling) in aquaculture on the escape behavior of sea bream. We document our current results on the escapebehavior of sea bream, based on the above series of experiments that were performed in our laboratory. Furthermore, we conclude with recommendations and implementations in order to prevent from large-scale events.
