Risk factors in juvenile delinquency

The prevalence of delinquent behavior in juveniles has increased dramatically over the past years. Researchers have concluded that here is no single path to delinquency and note that the presence of several risk factors. Having these risk factors does not guarantee criminal behavior, but simply increases the likelihood of such behavior. This article defines and summarizes known risk factors, explain why they are so important, but not determine which one have a most powerfull impact on juveniles lives.Risk factors analysis offers a way to determine which youth are most likely to become delinquent and prefigures priority areas for improved intervention efforts.
