摘要

NF-κB is a pleoiotropic transcription factor that controls the expression of a large number of genes involved in apoptosis, differentiation, cell growth and immune response. Alterations in NF-κB activity are associated with many diseases including cancer. In this work we show that NF-κB activation can be modulated by expression of nuclear protein pirin which might affect the effectiveness of anticancer therapies.
