摘要

The model has been shown to have predictive capabilities for distortion well within the criterion for acceptance. Numerically the method is efficient and easy to implement. The required input data can be determined with very simple experiments that do not require specialized equipment and can be reused. If the exact strain-stress distribution is found via experiments or simulations, not only the distortion but also the residual stress of a machined component can be predicted. The model can be expanded include the effect of bulk (material) residual stresses.
