Based on the Study of the Conditions of Reservoir Formation in Chaiwopu Structure, Daban town sub ― depression, some conclusions were reached as follows: Chaiwopu structure is immediately close to the main hydrocarbon generation center of Daban town sub ― depression, especially the trap formed early (in Indo ― Chinese) and lasted for a long time, it should be the main directional structure toward which the hydrocarbon migrated and accumulated; the data of Well Chaican 1 indicates favorable regional conditions tot hydrocarbon accumulation; although the Himalayan structures varied violently, even asphalt could be seen in the interval of 499.2 ― 602.5m of Well Chaican 1 and the well is not located on the structural high, hydrocarbon flow was observed in Hongyanchi formation through formation test, all these phenomena indicate that Chaiwopu trap has suitable sealing conditions; the structural trap is nose ― like which "tilts up in the east, dip down in the west, and plunges in the south and the north", a stratigraphic ― structural trap was formed by barring of the unconformable surface in the western flank; the gas layer thickness of the condensate gas reservoir of Chaiwopu trap is 34.5m, the gas ― bearing area is 43 km~2, and the predicted reserve are 270 X 10~8m~3. A lateral drilling design of Well Chaican 1 in Chaiwopu trap was suggested on the basis of the analyses.
