3-D visualization methods from ultrasound color Doppler images

摘要

The color Doppler method, which measures the velocity of a flowing fluid from the ultrasound Doppler shift, is suitable for the cardiac diagnosis. However, the conventional 2-D image disables observers from understanding of the state of complex flow. To solve this problem, the authors propose the 3-D visualizatioit methods and the intuitive user interfaces. The evaluation reveals that the proposed visualization methods enable observers to obtain the state of flow, such as the occurrence of turbulence.
