The Complex Federal Program for the Protection of Lake Baikal and Rational Use of natural Resources in the Region: Mechanisms of the Program's Implementation

The pajK-r considers main priorities of the program until the year 2000, its economic mechanism is suggested, and expenses planned. An important condition for completing this program may Ix' all possible development of international coope ration. The Complex It'derat Program of Uike Baikal protection and rational utilization of naiural resources of its basin was drawn up by the Ministry of Environment Protection and Natural Resources of tlie RF together with the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Buryatia, wiili the administrations of the Irkutsk and Chita Regions, and with concerned ministers and services, as an execution of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 295 "On Urgent Measures for Governmental Support of the Fxonomy of the Buryat SSR" (25 March 1992).
