Problems of vibration and sound transmissions to a coupled structural-fluid system have been analyzed by the finite element method (FEM). In the present investigation, we performed analysis of a system coupling vibration of plates, sound in liquid and sound in the air, such as a twin cabin having a tank partially filled with the water. The calculated results were also compared with those of some experiments. It was shown that transmission characteristics of the plate vibration and the fluid sound were significantly influenced by liquid-levels in the tank.
