(1841) DIDACTICAL METHODS OF TEACHING SYSTEMS ENGINEERING FOR STUDENTS OF MEDIA ARTS

We conduct research on didactical methods to attract students of media arts to technical subjects. Wemake use of microcontrollers to create innovative media installations. We focus on methodologies thatallow students to study in a self- or peer-controlled environment.We use the constructive alignment methodology and define intended learning outcomes (ILOs). Weselect appropriate didactical methodologies and assess if students meet our ILOs. We compareresults of our courses with results obtained using traditional practices.We recognize that methods arranged using the constructive alignment methodology increaseacceptance of the subject and facilitate knowledge transfer to students.
