Metals recovery from Printed Circuit Boards: the pursuit of environmental and economic sustainability

This paper deals with the metals recovery from different Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and CPUs type. Large volumes of electronic goods, such as computers and mobile phones, are being disposed every day. Consequently, electrical and electronic waste (WEEE) management is an emerging problem as well as a business opportunity, given the increasing production of WEEE and the content of valuable materials (Li et al., 2013, Ardi and Leister, 2015).
