Tongling Ore District Massive Sulfide Deposits in Geological Features

Pyrite-type massive sulfide deposits widely occur within carboniferous sedimentary-exhalative ore-bearing rocks of the huanglong formation in tongling city of Anhui province. The deposit, characterized by a representative two-layer texture, consists of the exhalation phase massive stratiform ore bed in the upper part and the feeder channelway phase disseminated-stockwork orebody in the lower part. Showing a clear characteristics, Ore has vertical zonal from bottom to top, Zonation rocks have: Siliceous ore,gypsum ore,pyrite ores,pyrite,barite ores, siderite and Chert ore of duricrust. Deposits were formed a unique hydrothermal explosion breccia veins and irregular network interconnected tubular worm, Dendritic, ginger massive pyrite pipeline system, Mineralization in the form of dispersed multi-sheeted mineralization spout. Thickness is usually no more than 100m.
