Application of Expressed Protein Ligation to the Preparation of Fusion Proteins with Arginine-Rich Cell Penetrating Peptides

A promising procedure for the preparation of fusion proteins with arginin-rich peptides that contain sufficiently low levels of endotoxin was developed. This employed expressed protein ligation (EPL) and the practicability was exemplified through the preparation of a fusion protein of enhanced green fluorescent protein with arginine 12-mer peptide (EGFP-R12).
