The research of 'quality of life' of patients with total defects of an auricle after a surgical treatment.

Pathologies such as an auricles defect are not only aphysical defect in itself, but also a source a psychological trauma which results in the change of quality of life and, therefore in certain social activities of a particular group of patients. We have investigated 2 groups of patients with total defects of the auricles formed by an etiological sign. The multifactorial approach is necessary for rehabilitation of these patients.Such pPathology ies such asas the an auricles defect of auricles, besidesare not only a a physical defect in itself, but alsoleads to a source a psychological trauma which results in the change of quality of life and, as a result,therefore toin certain social functioning activities of a particular group of patients. The outcome is a limitation of social contacts, lowering of self-estimation, uneasiness and change of personal aims and values [3]. We have investigated 2 groups of patients with total defects of the auricles formed by an etiological sign. The 1st group - traumatic genesis, the 2nd group - congenital genesis. In the 2nd group patients after repeatedly spent otoplasti-cs were also included., itThis is a so-called ?group of failure?. As a rule surgeons Doctors have refused to handlework with this group of patients.
