摘要

1. In this study, the DPPH assay was used to screen the antioxidant activity of different extracts from the TCM Flos Chrysanthemi. A total of 21 compounds were separated and identified by LC -DAD-ESI-MS~n combined with post column UV -derivatization. 2. According to the on-line HPLC -DAD-DPPH assay and structure -activity relationship studies, 14 active compounds identified from the n-butanol extract serve as the chemical basis of the antioxidant efficacy of Flos Chrysanthemi. 3. The assay developed in this study, which uses HPLC-DAD-ESI-MS~n and HPLC with post column UV-derivatization and activity screening, is fast and effective for studies of the relationship between the composition and the biological activity of TCM.
