Space Education Program of the Tokyo University of Science: A trial for hands-on space education by using realistic materials

The Tokyo University of Science has been running the "TUS Space Education Program (T-SEP)" since 2015. The program aims to provide entry level education on space technologies and science to high-school and bachelor-level university students. In the program, thirty participants learn not only basic information about many areas of space technology and science but also basic skills to design and perform space missions by active-learning group work, parabolic microgravity flight experiments, and CANSAT. This paper introduces the outline of the "T-SEP" and discusses the lessons learned in and from the program.
